Jodi, I live in Saint James! I just tonight finished Handle With Care and am ready to start Vanishing Acts. While I am not an 8th Grade English teacher (writing is better!), like you mentioned in one of your videos, I teach 5th and 6th Grade Language Arts. I am a BIG fan; I pretty much made 19 Minutes mandatory reading among my faculty members. I admire your craft; your characters are so real. And yes, you make us take a second look at the way we perceive things. Oh, and I have the same family as you- two sons and a daughter- all Smithtown High School graduates. Keep those wonderful books coming! (Which is your favorite?) Ginny DiSpaltro ginnyd@optonline.net
Posted by: Guest | April 9, 2009, 8:00 pmI've read most of your books and like them. My only beef is in the last two. I'm reading Change of Heart now. A lot of the New Age stuff and the Gnostics are not new. They are not accepted by most New Test. scholars. From what I understand they were not even written by the apostle. I have never heard that the gospels were not really written by the men in question. I'm going to discuss this with my pastor who has a doctorate in New Test. I enjoy the way you discuss current topics and research your topic, but this Oprah thing of spirituality rather than religion is strange to me. Also, the miracles are strange. But, I'll keep reading, because your books are hard to put down!!!
